Created A Monster are a Lecoq trained theatre company who make visceral, unusual theatre with a highly physical aesthetic, original text and deeply drawn characters. They produce work that is transporting and provocative.
The first co-production with David Glass Ensemble is ‘Mortgage’; The 2nd part of the DEvine Comedy Trilogy. A collaboration with artistic director and performer, Briony O’Callaghan.
Theatre Ash (Hong Kong) is a dynamic company committed to breaking the mould by creating, producing and touring vibrant international theater for 21st century. The company use training, learning and collaboration to create powerful, physical and visual theatre rooted in living heritage, community, social and educational engagement and seen through the prism of popular books, films and history.
Drawing upon the Asian traditions of Chinese traditional opera, Javanese dance, Butoh and Asian puppetry and the European traditions of Meyerhold, Grotowski and LeCoq, the company will make searingly riveting, relevant and exciting popular theater.
Over the next three years in collaboration with David Glass Ensemble, the company will develop, produce and tour three major productions internationally but by working within a local SE Asian context. The first co-production will be City of Darkness a powerful tragi-comedy and visual spectacle based on Kowloon Walled City.

The partnership with David Glass Ensemble will be developing an Total Theatre adaptation inspired by Naomi Klein’s seminal work ‘This Changes Everything’.
East 15 Physical Theatre explores the world of physical and visual performance beyond traditional theatre. They combine dynamic and exciting devised and ensemble work, including circus, mime, mask and puppetry, alongside a typical British drama school training and modern European methodologies. They train in a wide skills base by experiencing areas such as aerial circus, devised storytelling, mask, mime, puppetry and clowning. This is underpinned by a core training in acting, voice, singing and movement, enabling you to create challenging new shows and to re-imagine traditional pieces for public performance.
The partnership has begun with the incubated co-production of the powerful physical theatre version of Fahrenheit 451. This will be touring professionally in 2018. The next project is a imagining of Naomi Klein’s ‘This Changes Everything’ which will be co-created with our Singapore partner Lasalle Collage.

Based in a UNESCO World Heritage city and connected to a network of international partners, Bath Spa University ensures its graduates are socially engaged global citizens. The key UK partnership has innovative performance and Creative Practice learning at the heart of relationship. Bleak House, Boredom and The AB Project will be some of the projects that we will develop, produce and share nationally and internationally.
Marphy’s Playhouse is a centre that specialises in the use of Drama and Creativity for children and young people based in Chengdu China. It aims to allow the creativity of children and young people to be safely explored within a broadly educational context. Through the International partnership with David Glass Ensemble it seeks to support through training ,Creative Practice and productions, the work and ongoing learning of the children, Marphy and her team. Expressions of the partnership so far are a permanent members of David Glass Ensemble’s staff at Marphy’s Playhouse( Hester Welch and Gavin Richards) Regular visits from associates of the Ensemble’s training in Creative practice(David Glass) Lecoq fundamentals(Jonny Hoskins) and Physical Storytelling (Benji Reid). Finally Marphy’s Playhouse will be producing and promoting a tour of David Glass’s acclaimed visual theatre version of Charles Dickens ‘Bleak House’ co-produced by Bath Spa University. Hester welch is also directing a production at Marphy’s Playhouse based on ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’. Finally an International co-production of a theatre piece for children and young people is being prepared for 2017/18.
